• Manual Lymphatic Drainage ( MLD ): A non- invasive modality generally considered safe for most with few contraindications. MLD could be compared to a very gentle, light massage utilizing rhythmic, slow circular pumping and stretching movements helping to aid in optimal lymphatic flow. The pressure utilized in MLD is generally very light but can also be deeper depending on underlying tissue and desired outcome, resulting in a very relaxed state. Benefits of MLD include but are not limited to; detoxification, increased range of motion, clear skin, infection prevention, decreased swelling and pain and accelerated healing from illness and surgery. • Non- Invasive Skin Care: We pride in our non- invasive approach to skin care. Our skin care services are created through evidence based manual modalities ( Massage, MLD, Gua Sha, Connective Tissue, 5 Elements, Chakra Balancing, Breathwork to list a few…) , a little science and a whole lot of embracing the beauty of nature’s gifts. The products used in our facial/skin/body treatments are locally crafted by a certified natural products formulator, using mostly locally grown ingredients sourced from Southern Illinois farms, thus helping to reduce our carbon footprint in an unsustainable industry. Our product/ingredient criteria is also sourcing Fair Trade, Ethical & Cruelty Free, Gluten Free and Vegan upon request. • Gua Sha: Rooted in South Eastern Asian Tradition, Gua Sha is an ancient healing technique involving the uni-directional press- stroking of a small jade or gemstone board to bring about a fundamental change in the skin by clearing stagnation. Gua Sha is an effective massage modality that directly affects the connecting tissue and muscles to help restore mobility by untangling and smoothing out fascia that is bound with tension and traps accumulated wastes from stresses of daily life. • Non- Toxic Hair & Nail Care: Our hair and nails are the appendages of our skin which happens to be the largest organ of our bodies! We provide basic personal grooming care ranging from natural manicure/pedicures to natural scalp/hair therapies tailored to fit your needs. We are a lacquer free/ polish free environment and ask that our clients remove all lacquer/polish prior to their appointment.
